Plain-language summary

We do not ask for personal information on the site. If you email us, we receive that correspondence. A review visit may store or reuse a short session attribution code in sessionStorage: campaign visits encode source, campaign, and ad group; the first direct visit in a new session uses dir; and a later unparameterized review preserves existing campaign attribution. The code lasts only for the browser session and does not identify a person.

What we collect

There is no account, newsletter signup, or contact form. If you email us, we receive your email address and the message you choose to send. Correspondence is kept only as long as needed to address the message.

What is stored in your browser

The two review pages load the local /assets/track.js file. On a campaign visit, the script creates a short alphanumeric code from sanitized source, campaign, and ad group fields and stores it in sessionStorage under trd_tid. On a direct review visit in a new session, it stores dir. If a campaign code already exists in the same session, a later unparameterized review reuses that code instead of replacing it with dir. If the reader follows a ClickBank affiliate link, the script adds the stored code to that link.

sessionStorage belongs only to the browser session and is normally cleared when the tab or session closes. The attribution code does not contain a name, email address, or another person-identifying value. Institutional pages and the homepage do not load track.js.

What we do not run

This site has no analytics script, advertising pixel, social widget, embedded external font, or third-party runtime code. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SVG, and PNG files load from this domain. The navigation script only controls the local menu and does not store data.

When you follow an external link

Seller and source links leave this site. The destination’s privacy policy then governs its collection. Affiliate destinations may use cookies or similar identifiers to record a referral. The Review Desk receives aggregate referral and sales reporting, not an identity record from this site.

Server logs

The hosting provider may keep standard technical logs, including IP addresses and request data, for security and service operation. The Review Desk does not use those logs to build visitor profiles.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. The personal data directly provided to us is email correspondence. Send a request to hello@thereviewdesk.org.

Changes to this page

If this policy changes, the updated date at the top will change with it.
